Should Pharmacists Prescribe?
A review published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology showed that many groups, including doctors, nurses, and policy makers, hold positive views and experiences around pharmacist prescribing. The main benefits include increased access to healthcare services, better utilization of pharmacists' skills and knowledge, improved job satisfaction, and reduced physician workload. Concerns were largely around organizational issues and perceived lack of pharmacists' diagnosis skills.
There is growing support from various stakeholder groups to allow pharmacists to prescribe medications to patients. Are you for or against pharmacist prescribing?
