Should Family Visitation Be Resumed at Nursing Homes?
After months of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many seniors living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities have suffered both mentally and physically. Now, some states are beginning to lift restrictions on in-person visitation. However, facilities are not obligated to open up to families, even when their state says they are permitted to do so. Some family members argue that in facilities still denying family visitation, the harms of isolation outweigh the benefits.
Are you for or against mandatory family visitation policies in nursing homes and assisted living facilities?
