Should Medical Students Pay the Same Price for Distance Learning?
Medical education has been significantly altered by the COVID-19 pandemic, shifting classes online and severely limiting student-patient interactions that would have been part of the curriculum. Although access to in-person instruction, hands-on learning, libraries, and study spaces has been restricted, medical students continue to pay the same tuition. Medical schools are scrambling to provide increased educational value in spite of these restrictions. Regardless, many medical students feel that the quality of their education is not commensurate with the tuition they are paying.
