Are you for or against keeping the current levels of reimbursement for telehealth?
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other payors have made it easier for physicians to be reimbursed for telehealth visits due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As practices begin to resume more in-person visits, many providers would like to maintain telehalth reimbursement so that they can give patients a choice. Some have advocated for a reduction in telehealth reimbursement amounts versus in-person visits, which take up more resources. Others may be concerned that telehealth makes it easy for patients to seek care from other practices and should be gradually reduced for triage purposes.
